Profile: Susan Warzek Katz
Susan Katz has more than 20 years experience in marketing communications in the financial industry. Much of her career was spent with FactSet Research Systems, a leading provider of global financial and economic information. FactSet was a small company when Katz started – 30 employees and
$12 million in revenues. When she left FactSet in 2003, the company had grown to 600 employees and over $200 million in revenues.
After just a few years with the firm, Susan started on a quest to improve the company’s communication program. It started with writing missing documentation and forming a documentation team. She then spearheaded a complete reworking of the firm’s corporate identity which evolved into a marketing effort. Katz added investor relations to the communications effort when the company went public. (See Case Study for further details). Finally Susan focused on market intelligence as the company entered new markets.
Prior to FactSet, Susan worked as a securities analyst for the investment bank Wheat, First Butcher & Singer where she conducted company and industry analysis, created earnings models, and wrote research reports and a client newletter.
Today, Susan focuses on marketing for the legal and financial services industries. She works with firms of all sizes to help them develop and expand their web presence.
